“Neighbors of Note”

Aired monthly, we will highlight a Trumbull resident whose life is (or has been) fascinating, remarkable, noteworthy, or just downright interesting.  For example, such a person might have:
space• led a life devoted to charitable service
• had a fascinating or unusual career
• traveled extensively to exotic places
• kept a collection of rare or curious objects or
• been an innovator or inventor in a particular field.

The Town of Trumbull’s educational access channel, is the TV station for the latest news and information about the Trumbull community. TEC offers a wide variety of programs including:

TEC announcement requests :

Requests should be made at least two weeks in advance of any event or activity being announced. You may submit your request via this website. The Trumbull Cable Advisory Committee reserves the right to decide which messages are displayed, to edit announcements for clarity and brevity, and to determine the format in which announcements are displayed. Refer to the TEC Policies and Procedures for information regarding our policies on inclusion of information in TEC announcements.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1) When will the particular program be aired?

There are several ways to determine when a program is being aired:

  • Check the schedule on the website - www.trumbullps.tv
  • Read the schedule in the Trumbull Times
  • Watch the top scroll bar on the channel
  • Stop at Town Hall on Thursday morning to pick-up a copy of the current schedule

2) How can I obtain a copy of a program?

To obtain a copy of an aired program, you can:

  • Go to the Trumbull Library, complete the appropriate form and submit it, or
  • Go to the website www.trumbullps.tv/forms.htm, complete the DVD order form and mail it to the Information Desk at Trumbull Library, 33 Quality Street or send an email request to shorton@trumbull-ct.org .  
  • When the DVD is ready you will be notified that it is ready for pick up at the Library’s Information Desk (Please bring the $20 fee with you when you pick it up).

3) What do I need to do in order for TEC to tape our program?

Go to the website www.trumbullps.tv/form.htm, complete the request form and send the form to John Annick at jaedj@aol.com.  For quickest response, call him at 203-377-5803 before you send the email.

4) What must I do to get a message on the scroll bar?

To place an announcement on the TEC scroll bar, send a 50 words or less message at least 2 to 3 weeks before the event to Donna Cassidy at dcassidy39@charter.net.

5) I have no picture on my screen.  What can I do?

After contacting your local cable provider, Charter or AT&T U-verse, then contact the First Selectman's office at 203-452-5006 to report the problem.
